Check out 12:34- 12:45 It seems you can't find anything like this anywhere but it's frustrating cause you know it's out there

Possibly came from one of the old pipe factories or perhaps this gentleman made it himself. I've seen variations of it before.

pretty much every factory has one of them. I've seen one at Gubbels (Big Ben, Hilson, Porsche design, the Al Pascia Curvy, ...) and last week I saw one at Maitre Pipier Genod in St Claude.

But I still have no idea where to get one... I'm considering making one myself out of hardwood. can't be THAT difficult?

I think they are probably custom made. No other industry would have a reason for an arbour press with flex in it. Also arbour presses are used for controlled high pressure applications. The ones used at pipe factories are only putting in about the same amount of force as a weak person can with their arms (like me), the only reason they are using a press is for control and precision in an operation that is repeated hundreds of times a day.

Building one shouldn't be too difficult, it seems the pressure on the one in the video is applied by a foot pedal and a bike chain, so not exactly heavy engineering.

I can't be the only one who wanted to make one
It only makes sense to have controlled stamping
After putting all ones time into a pipe

I could see modifying a small drill press to be foot controlled (seeing the bike chain) and creating some kind of fixture to hold in the chuck that allows the rocking motion with interchangeable stamps.

Buy a cheap enough drill press and there is probably enough slop in the spindle already!

All the ones I have seen pipe guys use have been modified, foot operated grommet installers.

The first link is an example of the type of press used, stimpson makes a big one.
The second link is an example of how the foot pedal works.

here is a big one that you could use.
