What is the general consensus on buffs using the menzerna compounds? Use linen/flannel for all steps or ? Looking to change buffs if needed and need to know what I should get. What manufacturers for decent buffs at not bank breaking prices. I'm using 8" wheels. I'm looking at you George and Jeremiah.

I have a Muslim wheel for Tripoli from Tim West, and a flannel for the fine, also from Tim West. He put together the best combination a while back and so far nobody has made anything better.

Thanks Jeremiah, How's the menzerna working out with this combo?

I’m really liking the Menzerna. It does get a better shine, there’s no doubt about that. I’ve used the Tim West buffs for a few years already. I keep some Beal buffs for brass and other metals and keep my West wheels just for the briar and stems.

Jeremiah, I have yet to encounter a "Muslim" wheel. I have numerous muslin buffing wheels but I'm really curious as to the purpose of a Muslim wheel. :P

Aargh! Darned autocorrect! I definitely wasn’t envisioning any recycled hijabs in this scenario.
