Real name: Christopher Severt, usually go by Chris though
Age: 39
Location: Celina, Ohio, USA

Years a pipe smoker: Occasionally - 15 years or so, but have had a pipe glued in my mouth for for 7 or 8 years

How you got into pipe making: (about 4 years ago) I was tired of the quality per cost of some factory pipes, thought I could make something at least as good. Read and read, and read some more on here and other places. After learning what I could without a block in my hand, I bought a cheap drill press, some bits and briar and got to work. Those first ones were terrible, but I liked it. I then bought a cheap wood lathe, and have been gradually building my tooling and honing my skills ever since.

Other interesting facts: What does one say about himself really? You buy me a pint of Guinness or a cheap bourbon and I'll tell you all you wanna know

Welcome, Chris.
Didn’t we meet in Columbus a couple of years ago?
If so, we must have arranged it through a forum. Apparently not this one.😀

I wanted to go to Columbus this past year too but the day job got in the way, we'll see what happens this year. btw, I picked up some dye for my epoxy so the next transparent stem I make I will take your advice and see how it turns out.
