Hi everyone!

Real name: Aidan
Age: 36 (but feel younger!)
Location: Lincolnshire, England
Years a pipe smoker: about 10

Having been turning wood for a good while, I thought it was about time I had a go at making some pipes. I've always wanted to and some conversations on a few Facebook groups recently gave me the encouragement to take the plunge. It's one of the most rewarding crafts on which I have ever embarked.

I'm a teacher and in middle leadership, so I'd like to think I'm good at listening, learning, and responding to feedback, which is why I'm here: I want to learn from others to become a better pipe-maker.

Other interesting facts? Pipe-making in the UK is classified as 'endangered' by the HCA (https://heritagecrafts.org.uk/wooden-pipe-making/). Are there any other UK-based pipe-makers on here?
