The shaping and concept are interesting and seem to be well executed (based on the potatocam shots, anyway) :lol:

The leopard spot divot rustication on the pipe and claw-draggy grooves on the stand only detract, however. Severely so, imo.

When the form is good it speaks for itself. Resist the urge to embellish, especially in an "add on" way... roses should never be spray painted, no matter how nice the paint, or how well it's applied.

Your pipe is very good. Its shape is beautiful. To me, it is somewhat reminiscent of the work of masters from Eastern Europe (Bulgaria, Serbia). Smoking pipe carving is just in their tradition.
