I've been on and off a pipe smoker since I was about 19. I decided last year I wanted to make my own pipes, but I wanted to do things differently. My business is working with bronze and silver so I wanted an artistic pipe from these materials but without the negative aspects that people often cite about smoking from metal. Once my first few pipes came together successfully I was absolutely hooked. I'm always working to improve my designs so I joined this forum to learn and to share my own experiences considering I am in a very rare niche of pipemaking.
