How you got into pipe making: Always wanted to try it. finally bought a kit several months ago and got hooked. I've made maybe 2 pipes now that I'm proud of, and lots of failed attempts but getting better by the pipe.
Other interesting facts: I produce videos for a living, and am also an abstract painter.
This is the first pipe I made that I feel proud of. In 5 years I'll probably look back and think it's garbage but this is where I'm at currently. This was made from scratch including the stem, so no kit involved.

Welcome, John! This is the best place to find the most comprehensive info on pipe making on the globe. I suggest reading as much as you can before asking questions, as most subjects have been discussed in great detail. Also, check out the Facebook group. Again, Welcome and happy pipe making!!!
