OK... this is my THIRD attempt to reply to this thread, so here goes;

I like this pipe a lot - the most of all your pipes I've seen.
The shape is appealing and the stain fits the wood grain and the shape.

I like stems to have a bit more sharp, or "precision" looking edge to the lines, but this softness you have here seems to suit the pipe. I don't mean that the stem looks sloppy - not at all.
I just would have made the edges sharper, that's all.

Very nice pipe. :thumb:

I really look forward to seeing your next one.

Best to all,
Steve

John,

I'd reiterate Steve's comments about the stain, it is very well suited to the graining on this piece. The lines of the pipe are very fluid and appealing and the finish is superb. The stem work reminds me of Tonnie and now Lasse's style, certainly adding some Danish flair to the piece.

The only choice with which I disagree is the shank size which overwhelms the bowl. It seems to me (and this is my subjective opinion) that a more graceful pipe would have resulted from a thinner more delicate shank, perhaps tapering toward the bowl to a thin waist at the shank/bowl junction. Again, though, the opinions thus voiced have been overwhelmingly positive, so perhaps my suggestion reflects a unique and singular voice.

Nice work. I hope it sells quickly.
