In my quest to find a spindle adaptor for my new lathe (chuck is set for a 1" x 8tpi spindle and the new lathe is 1 1/2 x 8tpi), I came across this shop: http://www.packardwoodworks.com/
They have a spindle adaptor that fit the bill perfectly.
