Well I am working on my 3'rd pipe today and I was thinking about a stain.
So far I can't find any quality places with the analine dyes and have not had a chance to order any yet.
But I do like the color and taste of my unflavored snuff so my experiment is using denatured alcohol and some powered snuff for color.
So far it gives the pipe a nice light brown hue. We shall see how the color lasts after the pipe dries and after a few smokes.
Has any one else tried to use powered tobacco as a color?
Or am I just crazy for trying?
at least I know the dye color is all natural and nothing that some artificial stains have.
