Samsun Drying

I have started to pick some of the lower leaves on the samsun plants as they are just starting to turn yellow. I rinsed them off and hung the larger ones on some racks. The really small ones were clamped together for drying.
A couple weeks ago I picked a few leaves for a trial run. Here is what I came up with. It is very sweet smelling, almost like Cola syrup. The type is Samsun an Oriental. I am thinking it is time to try some out!
