I got the idea from watching my daughter try to blow bubbles with one of those little wands. She is four and has to blow pretty hard to get one to break free. Just before it does, it is a strange kinda elongated shape and I thought.... hmmmm something like that might make for a cool pipe series... This is the first of a series of pipes exploring that idea of inflation....

Hey John,
I like this pipe a lot. I look forward to seeing more from this series.

Does this mean each one in the series will cost more than the previous one?ArtGuy wrote:This is the first of a series of pipes exploring that idea of inflation....

John,
Great looking pipe. It seems to be a nice addition to your interest in Fat Boys, but this one with its own uniquenesses that make it distinct. How did you finish it? Cherry undercoating and virgin top coat, or just a cherry with some heavier buffing? It looks good. I look forward to seeing the rest.

Thanks for the kind words guys. The tobacco is not haddo's but Dunhill 965.
The finishing is the Fieblings leather dye with the first coat being Meduim Brown applied at the 400 grit stage. After resanding with 400 and continuing to 600 I applied the Light Brown top layer.
I then buffed it lightly with tripoli, then white, a dry buff and then added Carnauba wax.
