This sucks... HALP!!

Post by KurtHuhn »

Years ago I ordered a bunch of stainless steel tubing, 3/16" OD and 5/32" ID. I ordered way more than I would ever need.

And then I used it all.

Now, I need to order more, but I can't find the same tubing for love or money. The stuff I need is:
- bright finish
- hardened
- seamless tube
- stainless steel
- 3/16" OD
- .159" ID
- .014" wall

Does anyone have any ideas?

Mcmaster Carr has 304 welded and drawn with a .015 wall, but I'm guessing you went there first.

MSC has it in brass.....

I've had good luck finding stuff here -

http://www.aircraftspruce.com/

They have it in seamless w/ a .035 wall. :?

I'll keep looking in my list of suppliers and post back if I find anything.

EDIT - Do a Google for hypodermic tubing. I came up with several good hits for .180/.1875 OD with walls from .008 up. :D

I am being blind, or dumb. I can't find that at all. I did find 3003 aluminum in that size though. Maybe I need a drink. That sometimes helps.

Now that's a word combination I wouldn't have thought of. Thanks!

The drink helped.

I typed "hypodermic" into McMaster-Carr's search box, and up it popped! Thanks Joel!
