Golden Airbrush Colors - anyone?

Post by Sasquatch »

Anybody tried this brand? Seems to be a highly concentrated colorant for mixing into paints, carried in some kind of acrylic medium I'm guessing. Does not look to dry as fast as the Feibing's leather dyes, but the variety of colors is astonishing.

I will report when I try them out.

I've not actually used them but just checked them out on the web. They are pigments, not dyes. There will be no penetration and they will obscure (partially or wholly) any grain (or fills or anything else for that matter). I'd not waste my time or money on "painting" a pipe, but just my 2 cents.

I figured for 5 bucks it was worth a shot, but yes, they are more paint-like than dye like, and they don't penetrate worth crap from the bottle. I may see what happens with some thinning.
