I've seen some pipes with faux ivory rings at the end of the shank and it looks like white acrylic to me. Does anyone know what this material is and where I can purchase it? Thank you in advance.

Hi,

another replacement for ivory are tagua nuts http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/store ... agua?Args=. Inexpensive and easy to work with - I'm actually working on a pipe with a shank made of it.

Regards, Jens

Or a small pipe  ... no, it's only the shank, not the whole pipe.
