Old Pipe Needs Repair

Post by restever99 »

Hello,

I just found one of my grandfathers pipes he gave me when I was about 5 years old. It's a bent billiard by Barclay-Rex. I am surprised it is in as good as shape as it is after what I remember doing to it throughout the years. I was young, stupid, and not a pipe smoker then so don't beat me up over that. Regardless I would like to send it out to get repaired and reamed so that I can add it to my rotation. The stem is a bit loose and needs polish, nothing major from what I see, a small hairline crack has formed on the bottom of the bowl. I don't trust myself to repair it at the moment. Any good recommendations for someone to send it too? The pipe means a lot to me and I'd really like to start smoking it too! Let me know,

Justin

Tim West ( www.jhlowe.com ) does good repair work. There are a few other folks around here that would also be great options.
