I didn't vote, because I am not sure of my schedule and whether I will have the time to make a commitment. The open ended 1/22 deadline for a decision with a 1/31 completion date gives me the opportunity to try. Hopefully, I'm in.

Happy New Year to some lucky pipemaker. Hope you enjoy. A recent post about a sittier that would not sit got me to thinking about this one -- only 4.5 inches and 64 grams. It not only sits, but spins as well ...

Hey guys...
Here is mine. I named it Reader.
I'm wondering if it really is a nosewarmer. I mean, it is 4.7'' long and weighs 53,9g
but it doesn't have a regular nosewarmer shape.
The new thing tried on this one was a ring insert on the face of shank.

Nice one, Eder!

Mine is underway. It's rough shaped and ready for the sandblaster. It should be finished today at some point.

Nice looking pipe, Eder. I love the shape, rustication and stem work. Will you share your rustication technique? It'll be a happy man that draws your name. Scot

Thank you guys for your nice feedback.
The rustification was made with Dremel (108 - 1/32 inch INVERTED CONE Engraving Cutter) and sandpaper.
After rustification, black stain was applied three times followed by
interspersed sandpaper (600, 800, 1000 and 1200) with red stain.

Cheers,
eder.

Finishing up the stem on my entry. No pics as yet. Actually, i want my guy to be a surprise. So I'll post pics as soon as names are picked. However, my little fella is just under 4 inches and darn light. Although I don't have a scale to weigh him. He's got some bamboo and a little bit of turquois lucite to dapper him up. When do we pick names? I'm excited to send him on his way!

Damn nice pipes posted previously! This year will be a great one for the PTP.

Great pipe Eder!

I've had mine done for about a week. I'll try and get some photos up asap.

After originally posting, I started seeing my mistakes and liking my pipe less and less, so I re-worked it.

Thoughts?

I like the saddle stem better. But then again, I think almost every funky colored stem makes a pipe look like a bong, so I may be biased.

I like it!

It reminds me of Castello. Keep the wild stem.

I gave up on the shorty saddle stem after mutilating 4 of them :( . The yellow is brighter in picture than IRL. When holding it, the yellow doesn't seem to be as out of place as you would expect. I did not stain the pipe, and that may be what is helping the transition to the yellow.

Here's my $0.02, though the stem may need some adjusting, I think it's comfortable for my liking, but maybe thats my overbite talking.
