Recent Efforts

Post by TimGeorge »

A couple of recent efforts which are still a bit rough but maybe better? Each is a learning experience. These two were mostly for the purpose of working with shank extensions, and the bamboo sports my very first handcut stem. My only comment on that is that I really need a dust control system. Briar dust is bad enough, but the ebonite ...

I am also trying to learn how to take a picture .... The downside to that is that nicks and flaws which I never even noticed show up in all their glory with a decent close-up.

i like both. especially the second one, great use of the grain on that one. the shank extension is a little long for me on the first pipe, but what do i know. great work.
