No. 12
Here is my 12th effort at pipemaking. Stem cut from a black arylic pen blank with delrin tenon and mortise sleeve. I realize that there is lotsa improvement needed. So, I welcome all criticism, suggestions and comments. Thanks, Scot

There's always room for improvement but IMHO not in this pipe, man! I second the ovations regarding the flow... a truly beautiful pipe!

Very well done! The only criticism of the pipe is minor: with the large flaw on the bottom of the bowl, it probably should've been rusticated or, if you could, blasted. Otherwise, very fine pipe.

have to agree, would love for all my pipes to turn out like this. Only "improvement" i could see would be as stated above, rusticate the bottom so those flaws blend in, but not sure it would be better because it may distort the beautiful curve of the pipe.

Flix and T3, I agree with your comments about the flaw in the bottom of the pipe. If I had the equipment and know how, I would of chosen to blast this pipe. I'm afraid rustication would have distorted the shape of the pipe. I thank everyone for their kind remarks.

I really like the shape and flow of this pipe. I'd say, for my preferences in a pipe, the shape is perfect. My only criticism would be that the finish needs more attention but that may just be the photo quality. Very nice work.

but i didn´t have anything bad to say, so i decided to stay quiet

i didn´t find anything wrong with the pipe, and decided to wait what others have to say.
i agree with most, but i don´t think that a rustication would be an improvement at all.
i see flaws as a part of the wood, (i dont mean that others wouldn´t)
what i mean is, if they are there, they are meant to be there, its just a charachter of the pipe.
but, i have to admit, that if we look it from the view of someone who only aims to sell the pipe,
a rustication would be rather necessary.

I'm glad I'm not the only "lunatic" that makes pipes and doesn't get his undies all in bunch when a little flaw pops out. For the most part, I find rustication ugly.
