What am I doing wrong?

I am still quite new at pipe smoking and I am wondering what I am doing wrong. After the first couple of minutes the flavor really starts to come alive, then after about 10 minutes things start to go downhill. After 15 minutes I am not enjoying it much anymore and am just trying to get through the bowl to build up the cake. Also after about halfway through the bowl it starts going out constantly, like ever few minutes... If I could just get my smoke to last like those few precious minutes at the beginning all would be well :) Right now I am trying a few diffrent tobaccos from Samuel Gawith and Peter Stokkebye in a bent brandy Savinelli.

Are you tamping at all? You need to keep adjusting the tobacco density while you smoke.

How warm is the pipe getting?

How much tobacco are you trying to cram in at once?

It's a learning experience. Each new pipe smoker finds the magic combo that works for them. Relighting is a necessary part of smoking a pipe, and so is tamping. But the most improtant part is the smoking cadence that you use. You'll get it, don't give up!
