Very nice Charl!
That's how a pipe always should be made: excellent harmony between wood grain and shape.
I really liked how the grains go rounding and rounding till the bottom of the bowl.

Cheers,
eder.

Does "WOW!!!!" count as a comment? :lol:

I like the look very much. How does the blackwood smoke? I'd have thought it was too oily to use as the bowl.

Really nice shape;
do you know exactly which wood it is ?
what is sold here as "African blackwood" is mpingo, Dalbergia melanoxylon
and grenadille is sold as "Blackwood".
Both woods - if they're not the same from different parts of the tree or differently treated - for woodtrading is a mythful business - are a pleasure to polish.
Using the sapwood in your pipe makes it a very beautiful combination.

Amazing! I really like that finish! That looks like the kind of pipe you smoke with a Tux on.

Thanks for the comments.
It is African Blackwood, and not the normal Blackwood. From Mozambique, if I can trust the source.
Hard as hell and smoke like a dream!
