White Stem

I want to make a white stem but I am not sure what material would be best. If acrylic is my best option would I want to make an integral tenon or use white delrin. Also, Im wondering if there is a blue leather dye or wood dye. I want to make a blue pipe where the grain can still be seen with a white stem for a Colts fan as a gift, how do you think that will look?

Feibings makes leather stain in all the colors of the rainbow. I'm sure there's a shade of blue that will serve you well.

For stem, look at acrylic, but also look at the synthetic ivory or bone that penturners use:
