Wax!?

Post by prolax14 »

Quick question,

is car wax carnauba wax the same as any other carnauba wax? Cause i found a thing of Mothers car wax in my garage that has CARNAUBA WAX real big on the outside.

Thanks,

Definitely not. You want pure caranuba wax for pipes (ie a hard block of wax applied to a buffing wheel). Car wax has a lot more than that in it.

Now, what about Johnson's floor wax? It's good for wood. Wouldn't it be good for pipes?
I tried auto carnauba and it just made my pipe smoke too fast and made me sing "Working at the car wash", virtually all day.

You're only suppose to put car wax on Porsche Design pipes.

And floor wax only works on maple or bamboo pipes.

I also read somewhere that surfboard wax are made from carnauba. Suppose I can try for surfing if pipemaking doesn't work out.. :endofmankind:
