cutting stainless steel tubing

cutting stainless steel tubing

ok

just curious what is a good way to cut stainless steel tubing. I am using a hacksaw and it just really doesn t work very well just trying to find an easier way

I use a little tubing cutter like this:

A dremel cut off disc works for me.

I use a dremel cutoff tool as well.

The nice thing about using a tubing cutter is that it takes the edge off the OD so it feeds without catching on a corner. Then just kiss the ID with a countersink tool to keep a consistent airflow.

True. I usually take the tubing over to the belt grinder to knock the bur off, then countersink. Using a tubing cutter might remove a step.

Exactly!

I was tempted to explain that, but was too lazy. GREAT job with the graphic to make it clear.
