Halloween costume ideas

Post by achduliebe »

Ok everybody, I need some serious help. I have been told by my kids that I have to dress up for Halloween this year. So, my question to you is this. What can I dress up as that would involve a pipe?

I was thinking some historical figure or something of that nature, any ideas?

Well, This is not exactly family friendly, but I am trying to convince my wife that we should turn our house into the set from the TV show PLAYBOY TV from the '70s. I of course will be Heffner, and my wife could be my dreamy girlfriend... (she's not buying it).
I just want to be the best that I can be.

Hee hee!! You guys are coming up with some good ones.

Marks, Popeye was my first thought, but if you knew me you would know there is not enough spinach in the world to make me look like Popeye. I guess I could be the skinny Popeye...before the spinach, before the muscles. :D

Thanks everybody for your suggestions!

Why not be a pipe? You could make the costume with chicken wire and paper mache pretty easily. I little brown and black paint and you're on your way. Probably have to be a bent pipe, and the stem could extend behind you, avoiding all the "My, thats a big stem" jokes. You could probably run some fishing line from the bowl to the stem to help support it. Hmmm, maybe I'll have to do this.

Go for something obscure. Say... Col. Douglas Mortimer - you know, Lee Van Cleef's character in For A Few Dollars More. I watched that again a few days ago (on Spike TV or something) and always loved that he smoked that meerschaum pipe instead of a cigar or cigarette.

Nick is tall and thin, too. IMO, he could pull it off.

Yeah Jeff,

I have been thinking about the Einstein thing too. I think I could pull that one off pretty well.
