Tobacco Farms

Post by NathanA »

This is an odd question, but my wife is planning our vacation this summer to the Washington DC area (Her sister's family lives in the Springfield, Virginia). I was wondering if anyone knows of any working tobacco farms/plantations in the area I might be able to visit. I would love to be able to take a break from the in-laws to do something I would like. I tried a google search but the only thing I could turn up was historical information about the early tobacco trade. Any info or ideas of where I could look for some info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

This is the only thing I could find; not sure if they necessarily give 'tours' or not, you'd have to email them. I'm also not sure how near Springfield it is.

Thanks, Tim. I also sent out an email to CORPS in Richmond and they are going to see what they can find.
