Have you guys looked into Google+? It has a really cool video chat feature that would allow for us PMF'ers to put faces to names and do some real-time showing off and critiquing of pipes.

If you have a webcam and are interested, maybe we could arrange some times for a regular meet?

I know Im a newb here, but I feel compelled to chime in when I feel I can offer something of use...

Google+ offers the video and also the voice...I havent used video cuz honestly nobody wants to see me sitting in my underwear holding a pipe scrathing my growing waistline....

The voice is basically free phone calling to any regular phone number or another google voice user using your gmail account. So if you dont want to be a movie star you can at least get some quick answers by phone as well.

I use an IPAD app called talkatone (I think thats what its called) that uses your google plus account for phone calls and chat...I dont know if it supports video as I have an IPAD 1, which has no cam...but hey I have essentially turned my ipad into a giant iphone with this app!! Who says you cant talk on the phone on IPAD!?!?

So yes...+1 on the suggestion....lol!

Do whatever you like, I like the video. That way I can show a pipe or problem I'm working on and get advice.

I'm in.. seems like a new way to exchange some ideas and a way to get the point across without having to write a book.

Wish I could participate. I didn't get a webcam on my laptop because I just knew I would never use it. I may have to look into buying a webcam because this sounds like fun.

I think the first step would be to build a list of those who are able to do this. Then of that list we find a group of "troubleshooters" who are pros or whatever, and have them be available at certain times for questions and examples. Thats the simplest way I can think of besides just having a "mosh pit" cam session (which I don't think we can do anyway, I could be wrong though).

Or we could poke the fishbowl and say..."can you hear me now..."

I'm planning to be on tonight at 9 pm central, give or take a few minutes. If anyone wants to join go to google+, find me, and join my "hang out".
