Another tamper...

Sorry...tampers are currently my only connection to pipe making. The tamper section is made of Walnut and the pick is ebony, all local wood. It still has some final sanding to be done and buffing, but this gives you the idea.

Thats a sweet look. I hope you don't mind if I give a try at making one thats similar. I love the ribbon look.

Not at all. My patent is not finalized just yet,
It's actually a pretty easy design to make. Just drill the center out first and then work the spiral with a dremel or round file and just grind it all the way into the center chamber. The rest is just shaping. Let me know how it comes out for you.
