I'm not a wood worker by any means and this is the first furniture'ish thing I've ever made so it has a lot of room for improvement. However, it was a lot of fun to make and I learned a lot. I really, really enjoy woodworking.

I love it as well, simple, beautifully done, functional. What else could one want?

It's a local wood here in PNG they call it "Kwila." I googled it and this is the first link I saw:http://www.thetimbersource.co.nz/By-Spe ... Asia/Kwila

It's really strong stuff. We actually just replaced a truck bed that rusted out with nothing but kwila.

Your finish could use a bit more time on the buffing wheel for sure.

Just kidding I like it.
