Mounting and damping vibrations on my lathe

Post by The Smoking Yeti »

K, so my dad is making me put the lathe on its actual stand(he doesn't like how it takes up half the work bench I guess), and my garage floor is far from level. I know I may need to bolt it to the concrete, but I'm wondering if there is some sort of leveling setup (feet?) I could use instead to dampen vibrations and level my machine. Anybody with experience in this matter should speak up. :P

Find the most even piece of floor you can, it doesn't need to be level as such you just want all the feet touching the floor, and add some wooden blocks or preferably thick dense rubber pads under the feet before bolting down.
