Smokingpipes/Dunhill

Could somebody explain Dunhill nomenclature to me? Or, point me in the right direction. I've read a lot of posts where size of pipe is compared to a group 2,3.... Also, on smokingpipes.com none of them are named by shape and have two numbers after them. One I gather is the date, but is the other number of any significance? Thanks.
