Oh....a basement workshop....cool, quiet, plenty of room. It doesn't get a whole lot better than that in my opinion. I'm completely jealous.
I can't take a panorama of my workspace. There isn't enough room to turn around in it. I have to decide which way I want to face before entering and exit if I want to change directions. Yeah, it's actually just about that bad. I guess it's a good thing I'm making pipes and not building boats.
Great space. Thanks for sharing.

That's really awesome, I'd love to have that much room and tools, thanks for sharing!
How in the heck you make pipes with a lathe that curves like that I just dunno though

All my tooling is tucked away in drawers and that toolbox.caskwith wrote:You need more tools, it looks empty in there!
20 minutes after I start a pipe.... tools everywhere!
Thanks all!

And your a tool hoarder Chris. LOL just can't turn loose of anything once you get it.
I tend to let something go when I upgrade, otherwise I can't afford to upgrade. Such as my present attempt to upgrade my small mill to a bigger one.

How dare you! Only last week I gave away a belt sander/bench grinder to a friend who could make better use of it.smokindawg wrote:And your a tool hoarder Chris. LOL just can't turn loose of anything once you get it.

That being said I tried hard to find a use for it before giving it away though, haha.
I am always on the lookout for a milling machine, I have a milling attachment for the lathe that I am working on but it is only a temporary solution.

Haha, well...
Outside of this shop I have a blasting cabinet, glass blowing equipment, kiln, belt sander, grinder, various other..things...
But I'm trying to limit my BIG tools, since I plan on possibly making this shop portable in the near future. This is rather a temporary solution for winter.

Nice workshop!
How do you do to make a straight pipe there? Everything is curvy!

Re: A panorama of my workshop.
Is there a thread of shop sizes and layout? I could look at shops all day. Thank you to everyone for being here and sharing.
