I've been seeing some really great contrast stains blasts and was wondering about the proper proceedure for doing this. Do I stain dark, blast, stain medium or lighter color, blast again somewhere along the way. I am puzzled.

Re: Contrast staining a blast
It is the same as making a smooth contrast except you are sandblasting w/ media instead of sanding with sandpaper.

As Premal says. I blast, stain then blast again. The skill is in blasting just the right amount after staining.

Great! Thank you. My first attempt at contrast stain on a blast is coming up soon.
