Good deal, Kurt. Here's another idea. Some of those car lover types would probably be glad to pay $50-75 for a very cool briar gearshift knob.
Ha, that's funny :) Tom Eltang had a very shapely briar gear shift knob in his old Mercedes--and yes, it was finished with Golden Contrast stain.

Somehow I don't think it would have the same effect in my Taurus SE. :)

ROFL!! Dude, that Tarus rocks! You need that shifter to go along with the hydraulics you installed.

I don't have a briar gear shift knob, but I did break one of the cables off of my cable temple glasses and fashion it with a nice hand carved briar ear piece. It looks so nice I have cut another small sliver of briar to carve out for the other temple. When I get around to I am going to snip the other cable temple off and fashion it with a nice hand carved briar ear piece.

You should have seen the look on my wife's face when I showed it to her. PRICELESS....and then of course she laughed at me!

D'OOHH!!!

Wait just one darn tootin munite here!!!!

I detect levity!!! Jocularity I tell you. The devil be among us!!!

Each of you, except Todd, whose already paid penitence for his jocularity, must utter the anti-jocular pledge, and then we shall administer the ritual spankings.

Now, repeat after me:

I, state your name,

do solemnly foreskin

to uphold and support

the fight against jocularity

and chafe against its

pornitious constrictions and impositions

Further, I promise to keep my joc-

ularity to myself,

maintian rigidity of person

and engorage those who share

my jocular views.
