Just finished this pipe, A Chubby Reverse Calabash Apple.
It took me a few month to make it, from a idea (borrowed some ideas from other great pipes makers, of cause :P ) to a pipe in my hand. :P
I am happy with the result. Let me know what you think, Anything... :D

Pipes with that big of a cavern are called a Calabash- which is almost synonymous with "dry cool and tasty"... at the expense of slightly dorky(usually). I think Dr. P here has created something not at all dorky! Which rocks!

Great looking pipe. I love the curves and the stem. You did a great job on it.

There are only two things I would add for critique.

1. I feel like the stem could use a little more bend.
2. Since you've got that nice red streak in your stem, I think you would get a really classy look with a stain that also had a red hue in it. Maybe you were going for the contrast, and that's fine. Just a person opinion comment.

I like it though.

Brian.

Brian, Thanks for the advise.
1. Maybe it would not hurt for a bit more bend. But I kind like the slight bent of the stem. I can do some experiment on it.
2. I agree. the darker stain is dark brown, maybe too dark. :P It is hard to see the red hue. I will keep this in mind for the next one. :D

Thanks again.

Very Nice! The slight bend in the stem looks nice visually.
