Yeti Pipe #12- The Munjal

Post by The Smoking Yeti »

Alright folks, true to my promise I remembered to take product shots on white so its easier to see all the detail. Here is my latest work- a churchwarden commission. I decided to work with a bent dublin style, and I personally like how it turned out. I especially tried to do better with the button on this pipe.

All critique is welcome, fire away!

A lovely churchwarden IMHO!! Looks great!
Did you drill the stem yourself or is it pre-moulded? I've understood that drilling churchwarden stems can be quite a hassle.. :D
Anyway you did a great job! If I wasn't broke I would gladly have bought it from you=)

Regards,
Jon

I drill all my own stems, including this one, it wasn't too bad with my lathe. I just had to be patient.

That stem looks expensive

Love the lines and staining on the stummel. The stem seems to have some waviness but it may be some funny angle in the photograph.

I'm looking at the lines on the stem, I don't think they're wavy. One thing which might throw you off is there is a sharper taper at the end. I did this for fear of sanding through the airway. I actually sanded through the original stem on this one... bye bye 10" of Cumberland :(

But yeah, the waviness is an illusion.

Very pretty pipe. No critique from me. I was trying to draw up a similar shape today and have to admit, I like yours better :D
