Bowl is really excellent, love the flow, shape and finish. The stem seems a bit too chunky though, how wide is that button?
Re: Yeti Pipe #14 The Conquistador
I love it. That's my favorite or yours to date!
Re: Yeti Pipe #14 The Conquistador
Nice piece. I agree with Chris but I think the reason it looks clunky is because the stem length isn't in proportion with the bowl. If the stem were a touch longer it would even out the proportions a bit, IMHO. Stem/shank junction could be a bit tighter but not bad. The rings that sandwich the shank ring would look better if they matched the stem material but it doesn't look bad. It just draws more attention to the stem/shank transition. Nice use of grain. Nice work.

I love the use of the grain, love this pipe, beautiful brother

well I suppose if one were to smoke to excess it would be a sin

Why smoking two pipes at once of course

Dude. Seriously beautiful pipe.
I agree about the stem. Only other thing I noticed is that the finish is sanded a little thin around the edges of the rim and left a little thick near those elegant lines on the shank and bottom of the bowl. This is being super nit-picky though and those spots are stupid hard to avoid having that happen.
Overall, that is a kick ass piece of pipe. Great work!

Re: Yeti Pipe #14 The Conquistador
Very impressive.
I'd agree that a little weight loss in the stem would be nice, but not much. And as is, it's stil doggone good.
Why the brass mortise?

The brass mortise sleeve waas mostly to see how it worked, I've always loved little details that you don't always see. It adds to the piece in a subtle way.
