aesthetically, and subjectively, this is my favorite offering of yours. I really like it. I don't mind the flaws, think they look rugged. Do they go all the way into the chamber?

"but rev, isn't smoking a sin?"

well I suppose if one were to smoke to excess it would be a sin

"but what would be smoking to excess?"

Why smoking two pipes at once of course

I like the design idea behind this pipe but you need to refine it. The bowl and shank are out of proportion with the bowl being too large for the shank. I especially like where you were going with the half saddle and how it turns up and flares. It would work better if you followed the same line with the shank. Of course, in doing so you stray probably too far from the cutty shape but your already stretching it calling this one a cutty anyway. Who really cares what you'd call the shape anyway?

Lol! Too true. I originally called it an egg, but you're right.

Thanks for the notes, btw! I really appreciate hearing your thoughts. :)

Fortunately, the flaw is pretty shallow. It's possible that I could've gotten it out, but I didn't want to risk ruining the pipe for chasing flaws. Just wish I had a sandblasting cabinet. :P

It's all swoopy lookin! Agree with Wayne...blah blah. I think it may even look good with a 1/128th bend in the stem.

Maybe not.
