Started my very first lathe made pipe today. 33 degrees outside so I figured I'd venture in to the garage for some lathe practice. Not a very good block, so its a good one to start with as you can see the bad spots. I couldn't believe the time savings. I'm sure an hour or more of sanding was saved in the 10 minutes it took me to get the block to this point. Took a few minutes to line it all up because it is a pre-bored kit. Used my Rockler Excelsior. No vibration at all while turning the pipe. I was quite surprised.
