Hello and thanks for looking.

I finished a pipe and would like to hear what you folks think.

I like it! Nice little nose warmer. I do see a little chip in that white ring though...

I'd smoke it.

"but rev, isn't smoking a sin?"

well I suppose if one were to smoke to excess it would be a sin

"but what would be smoking to excess?"

Why smoking two pipes at once of course

Yes, this is a really good first one !
I like the white ring in contrast with the brown color.
Maybe the bowl could be a bit higher...
The stem is brilliant !

Best regards,

Thanks for the comments.
It's weird that you can see what appears to be a chip in the ring in the photo, but it is very hard to see in person.
The bowl is actually vary large; almost too large. That pipe smokes for a long while.
I believe I will go with a 3/4" bowl next time.

I am working on a poker and trying to do a sterling silver band.
I was going to do a hand cut stem, but I am not getting good results yet.
I think the tail stock on my very cheap lathe has a touch of wobble or play.
If the custom doesn't work out, I have a very nice brown swirl stem to use.

Thanks again.
