Starting on the woodworking:

First frame is done and the first support beam for the ceiling is up. Next up I'll do the same thing on the opposite side and then I can add the ceiling beams.

Looking good, any reason you are putting in a flat ceiling? Just from personal preference I would have insulated and covered the rafters and left it open, could put shelves across part of it for easy access loft storage then.

I would have needed alot more insulation ( roof surface + height of the walls), furthermore, there's an adjacent attic that I would then also completely have to Insulate while it's no use to me because the floor construction is insufficient to carry much weight. Not to mention the fact ghat I have a fear of heights. working on this height is fne, but installing wall boards at 4m up in the air is not my cup of tea.

this way I create an easily accessible attic for me to store lots of crap on. Also, I can now install all cables and dust collection ducts on there, saving me space in the shop, and finally: I needed a ceiling to attach some lights to :-p

Had the day off yesterday, so put a good few hours into building the shop.
I managed to finish the second wall, add the second support beam and install nearly all ceiling beams (girders?).

2 more to go, but my screwdriver ran out of juice and I had run out of daylight (currently no power in the shop)

I have been thinking about what I wanted for a new floor for months, and until yesterday I planned on buying PVC tiles.
They are soft, so dropping stuff is safe, they are durable, so you can keep them for years on end, and they're easily placed as they are simply put on the floor and built like a puzzle.
And they are expensive. Too expensive. They'd set me back €44 (~$60) per square meter. End of stock is sometimes available at €28/m², but that would still make >€350 in flooring for my workshop.

So I decided to go for a good quality laminate flooring. It's pretty, it's sturdy, it's still soft enough to safely drop tools (even though that will scratch the floor) and it's CHEAP!
Impulsive me stopped by a dealer yesterday and I took home the needed amound of laminate & base layer (foam with a plastic side) for less then €190, so just over half of what PVC tiles would cost me.

This is the stuff I bought:

Wow! You're going to have a first class shop when you're done. Insulating is something I wish I had taken the time to do with mine before I filled it up. I don't know if they are available where you live but here in the states we have rubber mats made of what looks to be recycled tires that are used in horse stalls as well as the PVC tiles you were considering. I don't remember the size but the mats work out cheaper than the tiles. They're not nearly as pretty as the laminate though.
The dental lamp should be a perfect work lamp for you. I've seen a few examples where people were using them in their shops.

rubber mats exist here, but they're ugly and don't fulfill my needs.

I had some time this weekend to get some work done. Walls 3 and 4 have been framed and I've insulated and finished the third wall.

Here in Greece we are really heavy cigarettes smokers and have a widely-known phrase:

"The best cigarette is the one they give you for free"
