mammoth teeth

i know that mammoth bone or ivory is used often for shank extensions or rings but has anyone actually used mammoth teeth? if so, similarities, ease of turning, stability, colour, grain pattern etc..

it looks super cool but costs alot. i have quiet a bit of wolly mammoth *ivory* but it would be neat to try and turn teeth rings?

I have a piece of mammoth tooth and it is too hard to work with, like stone really.

You can work teeth with a rotary tool and dental burrs- just like a dentist.
