Sandblast suction problem

Post by archaggelosmichail »

On Monday I did the setup of my sandlasting unit.I bought an 21cfm, 80galons tank size air compressor and a bench top blasting cabinet from KMSDirect.(Photos will be added soon)

Everything went great untill I couldn't see any media coming of blasting gun, and I realized that at the end of the suction hose there wasn't any media at all, but it has spread around it.Of course opening the door and get it back with my hands is not an option for health reasons.

Can you suggest me, anything?

Thanks a lot,
Michail

It sounds like your media is damp or moist and getting clumpy just a thought

I have enough media in my cabinet that the pick-up hose, the syphon hose, is always buried. This took about twice the recommended amount. After some blasting, I can just shove a pile of media on top of the hose end, without opening the cabinet.
