Bent Egg

Post by scotties22 »

Just finished this one a little while ago. My stem taper still needs some help along the top line.....kinda wavy right after the shank and I didn't notice it until I was taking pictures. The shank also kinda pinches in the middle. I got a little carried away shaping. Something to pay extra attention to next time.

It's a case of there being too much material (in spots), not a case of too much removed. Which is good. It means there is still a perfect pipe "inside" that one.

If you are so inclined, bring it along when you come over. Getting it dialed in everywhere would make an ideal project to illustrate all sorts of things---stem/shank junction, button work, stem arch and flow, etc. Best of all, your efforts wouldn't be wasted on scraps and throw-aways.
