It is much easier to properly critique a shape when certain photo angles are provided. At least for me it is.

Pictures no larger than 800 x 600. We do not want to have to Ctrl - all the time to just view your pictures.

#2 through #5 are very necessary

1. The Money Shot - Every pipe has its good side 2. Driver Side Profile - Zoom out center on middle of the bowl then crop to achieve best result. 3. Passenger Side Profile - Zoom out center on middle of the entire pipe then crop to achieve best result. 4. Top - Zoom out center on middle of the bowl then crop to achieve best result. 5. Bottom - Zoom out center on middle of the bowl then crop to achieve best result. 6. Additional angle shot - In case there is additional elements that need to be seen for critique. 7. Button and mouthpiece closeup 8. Tenon and mortise closeup 9. Additional Angle shots for very complicated designs or for detail critiquing.

How about I just send my pipes to you to take pictures of. Those are all very nice shots. Next time I'm out your way, you'll have to teach me how to take pictures instead of make pipes.

Right on Brother! Actually Bill has most of the picture taking skills. I am not really sure if Bill, myself, Benjamin, or Caymen took which pictures.

I can't believe how different that pipe looks from different angles. That's just fuckin incredible.

im with Wayne! those are great shots.

I was about to post a pipe for critique but then realized my light box is more of a "dim" box. im finding it hard to get sufficient lighting without glare. anyway, ill read some google searches on good light boxes. thanks for this, it really is a necessity.

I only cut the background out for presentation on my retail website. It is not necessary to have a lightbox or cut out the background for critique.

An easy way to do it is with PVC pipe, or even just wire hangers. I used to use fabric over a bent piece of mat material (like the kind that goes in a picture frame) and used spring clamps to hold it all together. Then I got some clamp lights, like the ones at Lowe's. If you opt for more than one light, be sure to get the same bulb for all involved.

so how do I use the [rimg] button to resize my pictures...I fucked up

I have all my pics ready but they went to the default setting and I don't know how to use the rimg to configure them back to 800x600 help a brother out?

I am not sure how to use that function. I just link the pics from my website or an online photo storage with the img thingy

It fits on my screen fine, but may be too large for most monitors. That is 1200x1600. Landscape shots 1600 x 1200 are going to be bigger than my monitor. Resize the pics on your computer then re-upload then link.

I had to do it from a image hosting site and it is ungodly slow to use. it took me 30mins to upload 7 pics... that's why I don't want to reupload them. I will if no one know how though. thanks Premal

So Nate... Is there C4 involved as well? Should we be calling the Feds?
