What do you guys use on the window of your cabinets to stop the glass getting all scratched up?

Up until now I have been using the acetate sheets that came with it. Used the last one and looked into getting some more and boy are they expensive, they want the best part of $10 each!
I looked at buying some plain acetate sheet and that stuff is damn expensive too!

As an experiment I am using a piece of clear vinyl tablecloth. It looks good so far, we will see how it handles a sandblasting session. It is much cheaper than acetate, I can get a piece big enough for 4 covers for about the same price as one acetate, since acetate covers lasted me about 6 months this needs to last at least 2 to be cost effective. Fingers crossed.

Several of the guys over here where I'm at use Saran Wrap... The affix the roll at the top and pull down a clean area every so often .. You just have to be careful not to shot though the Saran Wrap

I go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy glass. Duct tape holds it in place. Depending on the size of your cabinet, buy the size that is best for you.
Considering we work on small pieces, I just buy 8x10 glass and it's about $2 per pane. It lasts a long time.

I just pop mine out and hit it with the buffing wheel.

I stopped using film because I didn't like how it made things less clear. I don't sandblast my glass. That has been working well for the last couple of years. I figure it's cheaper to replace the glass like Bruce mentions.

I sandblast by feel. Can't see shit in my cabinet.

Obviously glass is a lot cheaper for you guys than it is here for us

An update to the topic.

I run out of the sheets that came with my blaster and I checked cyclone's site where they suggest Mylar sheets:

Have anyone tried those before? I found them here for 25$ for 50 sheets on the dimensions that I like.

I forgot about this topic.

I bought the PVC clear table cloth and fixed it in place. I not realise that it has been in place for over a year now and it is still pretty good. Acetate sheets used to last me about 3 months or so, the PVC cloth will probably need changing sometime this year maybe. I think I am going to stick with the PVC.

My sheets last about 90minutes of blast each, I don't know if it is cause of the small cabin height and the table cloth that I used need change in 20minute.

I think that I'm going to try the Mylar sheets and see if it work.

Chris, sounds like you have it nailed, but if you fancy trying glass have a word with a local glazier. I have a local place that i have contacted for various small projects, and they always do me small sections at a very good price. Maybe not $2, but only a few quid.

I use the replacement sheets from Cyclone and they work well. I do clean the dust off when I put a new sheet on. I replace mine every 3-4 months on average.

I didn't see any prices or way to order on their website, how can we buy them? Is there any online retailer maybe?

The kind that I bought is very thick and flexible, I think it lasts so long because it acts like electrical tape, it just bounces off.

I did check with a local company, for the size I need for my cabinet it was going to cost about £5 per sheet, cheaper if I bought more in bulk but then I have to store it somewhere.
