Oh so sweet!
Just finished up making maple syrup for the year. Really pleased with the yield, a gallon plus a pint from 30 gallons of sap collected. Really cool to make this from trees right in our back yard.

Re: Oh so sweet!
That is awesome!!! My husband broke a branch in our maple this year while he was taking down Christmas lights. A few weeks ago it really let go of some sap. Wish I would have had a way to collect and process it.

That's fantastic! I really need to move out of the suburbs. I have great memories of drinking maple sap cocoa in a sugar shack up in the boonies of Pennsylvania as a kid. Great home DIY.

No need to move, I live in the suburbs too. Just need to find some maple trees you can tap. I may have to try that cocoa.DeflictedPipes wrote:That's fantastic! I'll see what I can do. May have to sneak it past SWMBO.PremalChheda wrote:JT, please bring me a sample this weekend! I love maple syrup.

Do you're bringing a jar for everyone, right?

Kitchen???? It's pancakes....you just need an electric griddle and a spatula.

Seriously though, if everyone wants to chip in for supplies and someone supplies a sizeable griddle, I'll do the cooking.
