A Big Thanks to Premal

Post by taharris »

I just got back from the Mid-West Meet Up.

Thank you Premal for being a fantastic host and an all around great guy.

Between Tyler, Premal, Bill and all of the other great pipe makers there I learned more about pipe making in one day than I would in a year of working on my own.

I feel like I just had a graduate level course in pipe making.

I can't wait for next year!

I'll add my thanks too. Premal, you are a very gracious host.

Also, many thanks to all the pipe makers who were so willing to share their advice and knowledge.

Ill add A huge thank you to Premal, along with Nate, Tyler,Todd, Jesse, David, Wayne, Bill, and everyone that gave us such A warm welcome. I have fairly high social anxiety levels, and when A guy like David or Nate or Premal pats you on the shoulder and says welcome it helps you forget those problems for a little while. I cant thank you guys enough for that. so if you guys see A weird guy standing alone in the corner, he isnt being antisocial, he is trying not to yak on anyone's shoes. So thank you guys for the warm welcome and I hope to see you all at future shows.

I can relate, Joe. I have a lot of social anxieties too. These guys really know how to make you feel at ease. It was really great to meet everyone in person. What a great opportunity for all of us to get together and share our ideas and techniques so freely. Premal is the man. Thanks Premal for being such generous host and putting this invaluable event together and thanks to all the experienced guys for taking the time to teach. What a great experience!

Hold on now Joe, I'm pretty sure David has a tramp stamp that reads "Man Up." Just cause you can't see 'em doesn't mean they aren't there.

Premal's generosity and hospitality are absolutely astounding, both spiritually and financially. You had to have been there. The PipeWorld has rarely---if ever---had a classier act.

Buy stuff from him, people. Volunteer for his projects. Anything. Everything. Support Smokers Haven any way you can. Guys like Premal are our hobby's future.

I just rolled in the door after completing all my side trips. This was a great time! Thanks Premal, for putting it together and hosting it. Thanks to all of you who attended and took the time to answer my many questions. Thanks go to Bill for his help in the shop, and leave us not forget Steve of Vermont Freehand or Sam of Drew Estate for their contributions. Thank you, men!

All in all it was a great trip, and well worth the time and expense. I learned a whole BUNCH of stuff that I cannot wait to put into play in the shop.

It was a great event. The generosity of money, time, knowledge, space, etc from a lot of people (Premal, most of all) made this a great event. I learned a lot from a lot of people and really enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones. It's kind of crazy just how much fun, helpful info, and encouragement was packed into a relatively short amount of time.
