Final Shirt Design...Want one?
Here, I'm going to sound like the village idiot for a second. Most of the
time I write like I talk. Bad grammar included 8O
So when I want more of a pause in my speech, I have more periods.......
see what I mean?
i don't capatalize letter's when i talk either

More of a pause in my speech?
if I would have to layout a book from an author who wants to state that a person wants to make a real pause in his speech (or thoughts), I would prefer to have it this way:
»Bla, bla, bla, … … … … bla, bla,«
But I agree that a too close focus on grammar overruling the perception of the things one really wants to say is not the way I wnated to see it. Especially when spoken or in a forum. I would be the last to tend to that hard way, since I am no native speaker. But a printed statement on a shirt is like the sign of your shop.

Well, I hope people didn't take my post as ragging on anyone elses. I was just trying to say that I enjoy "practicality" over something "proper" sometimes. I was just thinking about the front of the shirt. I think that I see the "...." as more of a graphic than I do text. Maybe that's why I feel it 'fits?'

To answer a few questions, in no particular order, yes, I will do sizes smaller than large. I'll do whatever you ask for provided I can do it at a reasonable cost (.
As for the ellipses, I am well aware of its proper usage. Three was used in the first place because of the rules, but I opted to increase it to five in order to more clearly communicate, "To be continued on the back." With three, because of spacing or size or whatever reason, it sort of looked like the dots were accidental. It wasn't clearly communicating. Being a good West Texas boy, I opt for clearer communication over the rules of grammar, an I ain't backin' down, durn'it.
I argue that despite the rules, three or more dots is generally seen as the same as three, with more dots seemingly implying a longer wait or pause. It is a general usage thing, not a strictly-by-the-book thing.

In the original art work the ellipsis were not really working well design-wise, so I pressed Tyler to change it to the current design. This design, though incorrect regarding strict typesetting and punctuation, more
clearly communicates to more of the audience.
While I generally agree to be correct is highly important, the occasional
compromise is needed to acheive the desired effect.
As creative people, we all make those compromises to reach the final goal
of the completed artwork... Don't we?

If you want to communicate more clearly "to be continued on the back" I suggest continuing that line of dots all the way around, under the armpit.

I knew someone was going to bring that up... :naughty: I saw the same pics online but thought it was too ugly of a bush so I made up a bushy scrublike tree just for the sake of aestetics.
If we were a group or horticulturalists I suppose I would have been more precise. What do you expect for free illustration work
