As did I, though only for a minute at the end of the show. His reputation for stealth and camouflage is deserved, in other words, but he DOES actually exist.

(The Discovery Channel's producers are already ringing my phone.)

Me too! I was surprised that Sas isn't taller, being how big he looks on camera and his name and all. But I was also surprised that Yeti was as tall as he was. He looks so much like a short kid on camera. :-)

It was truly a pleasure to see all of you.

I also met many Members of the forum and can say what a great bunch with a wealth of knowledge They are willing to share. I was trying not to be like the little dog following the big dog saying "what now Butch, huh, huh, huh?" I want to thank Everyone that took the time to look at My pipes and give Me good advice and tips. I have to say Yeti isn't as ancient and hairy as I thought but Sas is much more hairy and ancient than I expected. Norm.

In 'Murrica, we don't care 'bout no Yetis from Himma-laya. Justa buncha snowmen wanderin' around on glayshers is all they is.

On the other hand, Sasquatches is the shit. Stealthy woodsmen, like. And wise. Hell, legend is ya get to know one and they'll even drink a beer with ya. That's cool. All you'll ever get hangin' out with a Yeti is frostbite.

That fucking beaver made my show.

Best quote from the show goes to Roger Wallenstein after about 273 Millers and well after midnight, sitting on a concrete block outside the tent and bitching about how hard it is and why aren't there any benches outside: "My hemorrhoids are going to look like cauliflowers in the morning!"

Sorry to hear that, Ernie. BTW, that's the worst Chicago Pipe Show report I've ever heard. You're not very good at this.

Show was good for me. Much better than last year. Deep dish pizza is better in Chicago than Coeur d Alene. I don't think we even have deep dish out here. Sad.

Bruce,

You were there when we found that black bag with the STOA (Todd Johnson) pipe in it on the table. Do you remember what happened to it? I went to bed early, and Ernie is missing a bag!

I heard Andrew dips his pipes in molten glass, dips in cool water, then buffs.

Rad
I called ERemarkable and let him know we had all opened the bag and saw just one pipe and a bunch of stuff he should have thrown away, long ago.
Ernie said there were two pipes in the bag, but there was just the TJ.
Some pipe makers, really, are just so forgetful.
Maybe next time he will have some id in the bag. Duh!
Even with Ernie being a nincompoop, his pipes were outstanding. He's quite the talent.
